Wait, wait, wait...when did you get the sand ladders?
And why did you go with the composite ones? Weight? Cost?

Well, the waffle boards are dead cheap to buy, easier to mount (if you wish to "hang" them), stronger than the aluminium ones and lighter than the steal ones. Seen these demo'd at a LR show, they will bend beyond belief when used with no adverse affects.......oh and offcourse they look better in black

Couple of closer shots of the grille....................yummy!!!

PS, postie delivered another one today, got a spare now to!!!!

Is that wire mesh or plastic?

Its wire,

The whole mesh is welded to a full metal frame that clips / screws into the grille, then theres a rubber seal around the outside between them as a "finisher"

I can see why they were a lot of money as theres quite a lot of work in it, but they are not worth the original price tag given to them imo.......but got one now anyway...well 2 infact

Both grilles have sticker / labels on the back dating from '98', they both state

"engineering sample, Not for re-sale." So god knows where they have been hiding all these years !! The badge is supposed to be "offset" like the factory ones, but its then obscured by the spotlights, so I moved it to the centre.
