Yep, by the looks of the second picture...you had the parking brake applied when it got welded together. So, yes...you will have to remove driveshaft to move. Granted, you will need to remove driveshaft anyway, to remove parking brake drum and cable eventually. I'd just cut the cable, first, as close to the drum as possible, and see if you can get the parking brake drum to turn/release. Then do the rest on the hoist.

Yep, always apply the brake when working on my cars.. kind of annoyed that I chose not to do it on the lift right away.

Used my dremel to try to cut through it, dremel cutting wheel broke just as it was going through, I have to check if HD or HB are open today so I can get a few more just in case. It was likely 10 years old so good life haha..
