Fitting 04 CDL Transfer case into an 02 D2 - plugs?
My shop got the Transfer case swapped from an 04 to my 02. Mechanically working as expected. However - I do not get the dash light when the CDL is engaged. I also do not get the chime when going from high to low range. Also my new OEM CDL shifter cable did not have the lockout solenoid so that is bypassed too.
I wasn't there when the electrical connections were set up but this is what I can see.
Red arrow points to the CDL switches.
The front solenoid switch is connected to the plug in lower red circle. The rear solenoid switch is not connected in the red circle at the top.
The blue circle to the left are the two black spade connectors that seem to be used in pre 04 Rovers and connect to the switch.
The other blue circle is a plug coming out of the harness - no clue where that plugs in.
I have also swapped out the SRD00070 SLABS with an SRD000150.
From what I have read it seems like those spade connectors need to be connected to the CDL solenoid switched but I have not found anything definitive. I also do not see any other plugs not connected.

I think I have the answer but have not tested it yet. I found this link with same swap and also connectors that I have.
https://landroverforums.com/forum/discovery-ii-18/transfer-case-install-cdl-switch-wiring-90305/
Those CDL switches need to be spliced into the black spade Lucar plugs. Then it seems the shop mistakenly plugged one of the switches into a plug where some resistor was plugged in, that is the other unknown connector circled in blue.
I'll make up some temp wires to plug it up and see what happens.

edit: I have an 1999+? locking case and updated SLABS (WABCO SRD000150) in my 01, and everything HDC,chime, lock light, gear light all work.....
rectangle lucar connectors are here on mine, and there are also two for oil temp sensor (??) on side of case.....
oil temp sensor:
here is my alleged 04 transfer case with all the switches except the HIGH/LOW, missing from front.... Also note that it does NOT have an interlock solenoid on top towards the brake drum. I also removed the lockout solenoid from the transfer case shifter housing (remove retaining clip and unit slides out)...
It may be that you only need to connect the same switches I have connected for my older style transfer case to get it to work...??
and ebay pic of transfer case lockout solenoid w/harness and plug, D1's, and 99-02 D2's? and then lockout solenoid moved to the transfer case shifter in 04?:

Ok I made up this harness and connected the black plugs to the diff lock switches and it is indicating as as it should for both high and low when the diff is locked.
I do not get an indication(GEAR LIGHT) when the transfer case is in neutral - is that because the lockout is not connected?
The cable that I sourced did not have the switch or the wire on it.
This was my transfer case, supposed 04. I will say the condition is much better than my 180k mile TC and I used it this weekend and it shifts amazingly smooth!!
