Thumbs up Fitting 245/75/16 tyres to 2004 Discovery 2

After ENDLESS research and enquiries, I finally bought and fitted 245/75/16 tyres in place of the recommended 235/70/16. I just want to share pros and cons with other Discovery 2 owners. The windscreen headlight and window spray bottles( on the passenger side of right hand drive vehicles) sometimes sag and move closer towards the tyre than originally designed. The brackets are a bit flimsy. I re-set the brackets and moved them as far away from the tyre as possible. Initially the tyres touched when on a sharp turn. Now it is no problem. Pros...definite increase in diesel consumption efficiency on the TD5. No noticeable dicrease in power whatsoever. A smoother ride due to the increased 70 to 75 profile. A much more sensitive feel to stering without it becoming dodgy at speeds over 120. VERY safe. I amextremely happy with my decision. I work in the automotive engineering field, and my gut feeling is that this diameter is absolutely on the spot.

That's the search I'm on now. Do you have any photos you can share of the new set up? Thanks in advance

I also have the Same size tires, no lift or anything and can confirm at least for me with a LHD truck there's no rubbing or anything. And it handles quite nicely even past 150km/h, though I don't recommend going much faster.

Yeah, 120 mph in my P38 would probably feel good but 120 kph in the D2 would be pretty fast.
