Default To Fix or not to fix (Part-Out), that is the question

Hey everyone,

My first post here since I have just happened upon a Land Rover through family with a blown head gasket. Trying to decide if it is worth it to fix it up or if I should part it out, maybe even sell the whole damn thing as a parts vehicle if someone needs one.

Here are the specs:
2001 Land Rover Disco II SE7 (white)
160k miles on the clock
No mods or anything, unless you count blowing a head gasket as a modification

I am somewhat of a novice mechanic and have never undertaken something like this before. Have never gone farther than a valve cover. Not sure how long this would take me or if it is even worth my time with the vehicle being over 10 years old and not a very high resale value. I'm not looking to keep this longer than a year if I fix it anyway, I already have 3 other vehicles...

If anyone is interested in parts though let me know and if I generate enough interest for that I could probably manage to take it apart. Or if someone needs a whole vehicle just make me and offer, it does have all 5 of the tires on it still. Located in Ohio if that would sway anyone.

Looking forward to discussing with you guys, and I appreciate any help I can get!

Thanks!

What does the driver or passenger (front) seat bottoms look like? Would be interested in one of them.

I can snag some pics today after work and post them up for people who are interested. As a newbie my inbox is super small so I can't get too many PMs here.

If you look under the rear bumper you will probably find that the frame is heavily rusted ( in my experience every Rover that spends a winter north of Virginia is), if so it is likely not worth anyone fixing, imho....

Sold the whole thing, decided I didn't want to get into parting this one out as upon closer inspection both bumpers were cracked and the engine compartment had seen little love for a long time, I wouldn't have been able to get too much for any of the parts. Thanks for the help everyone!
