Default Flashing Speedometer

Hi There Guy's!!! Today I disconect the speedometer on a D2 a 2001 and So the litle digital window were u can read the miles now those numbers are flashing or blinking.... Any Ideas? I try unpluging the battery but still the same.... HELP!!!!!!

It thinks you are a being deceptive. The miles on the odometer and BCU don't match. It thinks you might have tried to put a lower mileage odometer in it. You'll either have to have it synced with a VERY fancy computer, or you'll have to have the flashing turned off with a fancy computer.

So what you are saying is he needs a fancy computer .

Or just ignore the blinking. If it's like any other D2, the bulb for the back light will burn out eventually, so you'll only see it in the daytime.

Its not the speedometer that is flashing, it is the odometer.

Yea it is the odometer that blink, Not the lights... It happen when I disconect the gauges to put L.E.D lights in there.. When I hook everything back and turn the key, Blink but the miles and everything work.. " Just blink" Any Idead on how to fix's that?

You must take it to the dealer to have the BCU and the OD paired.

Some have reported flashing along with the units getting changed from miles to kilometers. Not sure if that would cause the blink or if whatever caused them to be unsynced also caused it to switch to km.

If you are seeing the wrong units, you could try switching it back and seeing if that fixes it. Not sure.
