Flooded!
Here in VA, a storm came through we got 4 inches of rain per hour. I have water up to the bumpers (not over them). What do I do when the water recedes? I planned on vacuuming it obviously but as far as starting, I dont want to do any more damage, than the water already has done.

Not all of the trucks have a snorkel either! So unless the waterline went up over your hood then I doubt you have much to worry about. But if you do have a 6 disk CD changer mounted under the front passenger seat (stock on some trims) then you may want to inspect it for damages.

Wow!
Two things though...my truck was sitting in water (probably for a couple hours) AND it was not running or moving so I am concerned...

The water wasn't high enough to climb up the exhaust and into the manifold and into the motor. The air intake is also right under the bonnet. Some water probably snuck in the leaky seals but not enough to do damage in my opinion.
Yes, because you did not stall out while submerged therefore your would have sucked no water in. If the water has reseeded give it a little bit to dry out and you will be fine. We drive threw water often in land rovers they are made for off roading and with that come creeks and streams. This forum is here to help you not lead you in the wrong direction.
Dang dude thats intense. I just hope you didn't get water in the truck because once it gets in the carpet/foam pad it has to be removed to dry out because its like a giant sponge.
No one is going to lead you in the wrong direction here, if they do others will shoot him down.
Good luck.
