Default flushed radiator/chk engine light

I flushed out my radiator, did it correctly. Started it up and now the check engine light is on. How do I get it to turn off?

You need an OBD2 code reader, one that will reset the codes. Can't help until we know what the code is. Most autoparts stores can scan for the code but most likely will not reset it.

I am gonna recommend you get an ultraguage when you can. Best $89 bucks I spent on the dawn discovery, lol. Never hurts to have a unit that reads live data. Especially in these things.

Turn on the key.
Plug in the reader.

Take a picture of the screen with the codes with your cell phone cam.

Clear the codes.

That's it.

Use

http://enginecodemaster.com

If your scanner does not say what the codes mean.

I read the code, it was a misfire in cylinder one. the boot was pulled back a bit and it arked to the fiberglass wrap. Pushed the boot down, cleared the code and drove it 30 miles. All is back to normal. Now the daunting task of changing the plug wires.
