Default Seat belts...

Have you had this happen before? The hardest part is that you end up having to buy the seat belts from someone who knows what they're doing... I told both of the sellers to make sure they didn't fully retract, and when I opened the box, they were all retracted. Finally I went and bought them from a guy who advertised that he didn't let them retract. Third time is the charm.

This might possibly help understand how they work or why they get stuck.

I'm guessing you bought from my wife's ebay store. She ALWAYS makes sure that the belts are extended and notes the inertia function of the seatbelt in her listings. After shipping a few that were retracted, she learned quickly. But we have found that once you mount the retractor they un lock.

I tried mounting them, and I still couldn't get them to unravel. I managed to manipulate the mechanism to feed out the belt completely, but once I fed any amount in, it would not release it. I tried a lot, but maybe I'm missing a trick...?

Default Weird?

I'm guessing it's broken then. We have shipped belts that were retracted, then had them returned. Once returned we mounted the belts and they freed up.
