Found Sorce of Vibratión...
Coming from another Post
https://landroverforums.com/forum/sh...ight=javoli002
I have been reading these forum for over a year and working on My grandfathers car ( Now Mine ) even More ... I have changed U Joints ..wheel hubs .,,, wheels , Shocks , Front Drive Shaft ... Rotoflex.. Plugs and Wires serviced Tranny . differentials ETC.
Found one 4x4 shop that is as obsesed with finding these vibration as I am and after taking the car apart I found the source of Vibratión when decelerating at 85 MPH is coming from the Out Put falange of the Transfer Case..Vibration was felt under the drivers seat and Behind also ...
Mexico is a very Hard place to Find a good LR Shop since there are very few Land Rovers down here and nobody Knows them and Parts are even Harder to find. So. a new T case in LR shop is 7.5 K Plus labor time and taxes ( INCERDIBLE but true )
I´m going to try and repair the T Case. since I cant find any used ones ..and if I attempt to bring one from The US .. freight alone is over 800 plus a good Transfer so Im looking at a 2 K reppair.
I found some T Case parts in British Atlantic. but I think Im going to need more than an output Falange..
I found 1 (ONE ) metal shaving when I serviced the T Case last week. Seems Like a part of a seal and its very small. Size of a Pea sort to say.
Does any body know where I can get Transfer Case Parts?

The only place I know of for t-case parts is Atlantic British or Rovers North.
www.roverlandparts.com has rebuilt ones, but like you said freight is going to be a joke.
Look on www.craigslist.com for one close to you and maybe you can come to the US and pick it up.
Also check e-bay.
Glad that you have finally found the vibration though.
You have been chasing this Blue Herring for a long time.

Thanks Spike.. I looked on E bay but could´nt find any body willing to ship it to Mexico and roverland dont seem to have separate parts like british atlantic .... I think I´m going to have to look at a drive chain, both out put falanges and mabe hubs and seals.
I cant believe I´m Happy to have found an expensive broken part on My truck .. It´s a real relief..

Do You think I´m opening pandoras box by attempting to repair the Transfer Case?
It seems that the front out put falange is rotating un evenly or moving off it´s axis ( dont know how to describe it in english ) and also the intermidiate shaft my be bent.. Shop tells me that trying to fix them is the Last option since metal will get weakened if heated to try and straighten it out..
Seems that I´m in a dead end Again.

Yes if you heat heat treated metal it gets weaker. You can only heat treat steel once.
If all that is bad is the flange then fix it, if it is the output shaft that isbad then you will need to replace the shaft.
You might be better off trying to find a used t-case out of another DII.
It can be any DII.
It is hard to ship out of the US, you need to fill out a customs form, certify that it is what you say it is, bla bla bla.
Look in junk yards and check the classifieds for used DII's for sale that have a blown engine, bad transmission or has been in a accident.
www.autosportsunlimited.com sells salvaged parts.
Whats going to kill you is the shipping though.
There are rebuild kits so that may be your best bet.
Maybe a shop can fabricate you a new output shaft.
Keep us posted.

Okay, I'm curious. What is this "Blue Herring" you speak of?

No, I believe it's a close relative to the "Red Herring". The Blue Herring being the northern variant, mostly found in Lake Michigan, as well as the rivers and streams of Western Michigan.
Spike, is it true that new tires make you metaphorically challenged?
I kid, I kid.......
