Fram XG oil filter??

Default Fram XG oil filter??

Is the fram xg16 xtraguard oil filter OK to use? Its the most expensive one at walmart where I bought my rotella today. Didnt have time to swing into autozone for their mobil1 oil filter. Any input on the Fram XG as I bought it but dont want to use it if its not a good one?

The Fram middle and top line oil filters are fine, its their cheap one that is junk.
But you can get a better oil filter than that one for less money at NAPA, use their middle of the road filters, about $6 and a better filter than the Fram you bought.
Purolator is also a great filter, I dont waste my money on the Mobil 1 oil filters, those are meant for people who go 10,000+ miles between oil changes, they hold more dirt NOT trap more.

Last time I bought oil and filter at Wal-Mart I picked up the Purolater L30001 for around 3 bucks. Just as good as the better fram filters and much cheaper.
