Default Fresh head job, same issue now. Block?

I had a misfire in cyl 6 with the sloshing noise in the cabin. Found cyl 6 was dead. Pulled the heads and found the head gasket by cyl 6 was blown pretty good. Rebuilt the top end and now again cyl 6 is misfiring. Didnt see any issues with block but that was just looking at it when the heads were off. Could the block be shot?

did u check your spark plug wire or maybe your coil?

Did you replace your spark plug wires and plugs while doing the top end?

I had a misfire on 6 and it was a bad wire, you could see where it was arcing against the block.

Default stuff

I had replaced plugs before the head change and replaced wires during the change. But before the head job did a spark test and found no issues.

Wires and plus have nothing to do with this issue. Did you send the heads out for a pressure test, resurface and inspection?
If it were mine, I would pull the number 6 plug and smell for coolant, if OK, the I would then do a compression test and if warranted a leak down on #6.
Let us know how that goes, if OK then either you have a bad coil, bad valve or you are back to the engine as an issue and the 2 tests I suggested should find a head or block issue.

Default Update

I had forgot to clear the codes from before the head job. I went ahead and cleared them now and did a bit of driving with no codes yet. The motor does sound a tiny bit rough though and Im trying to bleed the coolant system of air now. Hopefully no bottom end issues but will see. Thanx guys

What ended up happening with this? I replaced my head gaskets (thanks mike) and everything was fine, now i am getting random misfires on 2 and some white smoke on startup... but i am not missing any coolant, So i dont know what to do with it. I am going to replace the plug wire on 2 tonight and see if that fixes my problem. - ('02 DISCO 2 SE7)

Also just picked up a D110! so pretty pumped about that

I never heard, but it sounds like he has to pull the heads again.
