I'd start on Craigslist because shipping is a beast for these things. Plastics go for $500-700 onine but can be had for as low as $350-400 if you look hard. I opted to just have a bumper made. Also, check local parts yards. The only one I've seen on the forum lately was around Tennessee.

Here's a part out http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/ptd/5504561640.html

Usually they sell them around $250-350

I am assuming that the subaru lost....

Anyway, junk yards and part outs are your best bet. You may need a rattle can from the hardware store to color match it.

I've got a front bumper I'll sell you for cheap. Only thing is it's just the metal part, not the big plastic cover. I took the cover off and modified the bumper. I can send pics.

Who's paying for this new bumper? Might be a good time to get a Terra Firma or other aftermarket bumper on their dime.

Like fisheh said. Just to complete parts of the entire bumper will cost you sometimes more than a heavy duty bumper. Even if a flock of subarus attack you, no problem.

You can have the bumper off the front of my 04 D2. It's got a few cracks it's not perfect

The Subaru cut me off then braked to a stop within 2 seconds, causing me to rear end him. Shattered my bumper and his car, nothing happened. Insurance won't pay my claim because I rear ended him, even though he passed me on the right, over a solid line. Think I will save for a terra firma. Thanx, guys.

Hmmn, I might have to invent a similar story to get the idea of a steel bumper past my missus.

"Honest love, it was a Subaru."

Then come on here and describe it, as a bit more proof.

Don't worry Tomzsix. We got your back

04 D2 you say? Is it black? And are you still looking to get rid of it? Might be worth the drive from SLC for me if OP doesn't take you up on it.
