Default Front cover oil seal

My 99 Disco I seems to be leaking from the front cover oil seal. How involved is this repair? Any advice?

I haven't changed it, but I would make sure it isn't your oil pressure switch first.

Have you washed your engine to make sure that is where it is coming from? I thought I was leaking from my vavle cover gaskets, replaced them, and it turned out to be a $12 switch. Right above the filter on the passenger side. It didn't look like it was leaking, but it was, and it was getting blown all over by the fan. I would consistently have drops coming down the filter.

No real way to test it for leaks, just clean and find where it is coming from.
