Front crank seal question. ..
So last weekend I tackled the front cover gasket, oil pump, timing gears repair. Ran out of time and rushed the rebuild. Did not turn out well, bad oil leak and still have oil light on at times. Going back in this weekend to re-do the job and to replace the crank seal (which I did not do last weekend ). In reading the threads on the crank seal, it's not clear if some RTV should be used. To use or not? Thanks guys...

Where do you want to put RTV?? On the harmonic balancer shaft.... NO. Don't waste your time it won't work.
FIRST>>> Call Erik @ L8 and get front crankshaft seal ERR6490G in the CORTECO brand.
Then before you install the seal check the harmonic balancer shaft for wear. If it's worn either replace it or re-sleeve it. Do a search someone did a post on a SKF SPEEDI SLEEVE not long ago. I think the part number is 99192.
Remember to torque the crankshaft bolt to 200 ft/lbs.
