Last night I began fixing the u-joints. After doing the single ended u-joint, I began working on the double cardagan. As I was spinning the shaft around I heard a rattle inside it. Is that supposed to be there? I hope it's just a counter weight or something. Overall the shaft looks good, but I can't find the grease hole either.

 

If it's inside the tubing, probably flash from manufacturing. There should be a plug in the side of the spline - they don't come with a zerk from the factory. Don't know why, I don't see a clearance issue, but possibly at max articulation it could hit something. No problem for my babied road queen.
