I just joined to educate myself on our 02 D2 issues and had to thank you guys (especially EVN137) who described my main problem to a T in this thread with the "knocking when shifting from R to D and vibration". I'm sure it saved my tranny. I new it was something serious, but had no idea how serious or how close I came to disaster. Thanks again!

Advanced auto was out of stock of the Neapco U-Joints when I was placing my order yesterday so I went with the Precision 344's and 617 from Rockauto... pricing not bad at all, $18 for the U's and $22 for the ball kit.
Will be DIYing my front shaft and front shocks in a few weeks.

yes, I got 8 of them about a month ago. They had to get several from surrounding stores but they all were the same, made in USA.
