Easiest thing to do is take the whole driveshaft assembly to a driveline shop. They can do the work for you including parts for probably less than 200 bucks.

Paging Disco Mike, Paging Disco Mike

Mike,

I had the Front Drive Shaft replaced under warranty, but that did resolve my issue[:@].

I am still getting the Front End noise/vibration at 50 - 60 mph[:@]. Although not as bad as before, it is still there. Actually it's kind of wierd because it comes in right at 50 mph and then goes away around 65-70 mph. Since this thread began I have purchased a new set of tires, a Trick or Treater, Tricked me[:@]. So the issue has been there through two different sets of front tires.

Any suggestions[]?

Oh, also when should I replce my shocks?

How many miles on your truck, have you checked the rear roto flex to see if it is starting to get cracks between the bolts?

Mike,

I checked and I plan on replacing it shortly, but I don't understand how that could cause vibration up front? Can you please explain? or am I missing something?

I certainly can't explain why you feel it in the front, but I felt a vibration around the same speed on my Disco. When I went under the truck to investigate I saw the the flex coupler was barely holding together (4 or 5 large cracks!). After the replacement, there were no vibrations at all. It is a very easy repair, and I think the total cost was $100 from British Atlantic.

Becarefull, if your disco is anything like mine, the previous owner did not maintain it at all! Check everything!

Andy

Factory warranty, or after market?

S4poor,

It is an aftermarket warranty that I purchased through CitiFinancial, they also finaced my truck. I have used the warranty before for rear door actuators, I haven't had any problems with the warranty coverage yet, its OEM level coverage.

Why do you ask?

Disco Mike,

I have roughly 55500 miles on my truck.

I placed an order for the 'Genuine LR Roto-Flex kit' less than a hundred bucs with AB, I know you guys mostly use RoverConnection but I couldn't figure out their website and it was on sale at AB.

Ok guys,

I got my Roto Flex kit from AB today, it didn't have instructions in the box, are they posted on the web anywhere?
