Default Front End Popping While Turning

First off, the important stuff:

2004 Discovery 2 128k miles.
3in Terrafirma HD lift
Terrafirma Front Track bar
RTE HD Draglinks with new rod ends
Terrafirma corrected control arms with new bushings
Front shaft has been rebuilt

Problem:

Majority of the front end has been rebuilt to prepare my Disco for the eventuality that I will start using it as a DD and for overland. Hence the reason for overbuilding it. Im getting a really good popping sound from the steering/front suspension while turning. Its not speed/motion dependent. I make it pop without driving.

Ive checked most of the things that I can think of (tie rod ends, drag link binding, track bar issue, control arms) and Ive searched over the past few days, and coming up short. Here in a few Im going to lift the front end up and check for play in the bearings.

One thing I cant remember is if that pop was there before I replaced the drag links/tie rod ends.

In some of the searching that Ive done, people said to check the sway bar ends. I know that Ive pulled those loose a few times to work on the front, so Ill need to check them.

What else could it be?

Checked the play in the bearings. Nothing there.

One thing I didnt mention, is that the pop is coming through/from the driver-side control arm.

It could be from the steering box itself. We have seen several disco 2 boxes go bad

I'm wondering about the sway bar links. The steering box has actually been replaced too. Didn't think to put that up there. It was replaced the same time as the drag links.

Any possibility you can get someone to turn the wheel while you are laying under there? (Seeing as how you don't need to be moving) Sometimes, that's the only way I can track down something like this.

I tried that yesterday. I wasn't able to pin it down. That's def one of the first things that I try.

Dropped it off to have the front end aligned since I just recently did the control arms. They are saying its the ball joints. Yay...

Guess thats next on the list...
