Question Front and Rear Bumper

Hi Guys,

So I’m still in the proses of buying a 2004 model Disco 2.
The front and back bumper both have cracks on them and I would like to replace them.

First thing I need to know is will changing the front bumper effect the airbag sensor in anyway.

And second I would like to build my own bumper as in SA this would be notonly the most cost effective option but I can build it as I want to andRecovery point and high lift points where I want to.

The other thing I wanted to know if anyone has any design that can assistme.

Any other info would be appreciated.

I would suggest, if you have a shop or friend that is good at welding, you will get a lot more bumper for less money.
Here are a couple pictures of what I did.

Here is one of the front bumper. If you want some help on designing your own, send me your e-mail address and I'll send them all to you.

Yes, from what I heard from my factory zone manager years ago, they are strong the most of the other D2 wheels.

Wow, great bumpers mike. I am the quality manager at a pipe fab shop, so welding is no problem. Do you have any drawings or plans for the bumpers (or brush guards for that matter)? I'd be very interested if you did. Thanks.

James

I run those wheels. They were available used in good shape and not very expensive when I needed to replace the 18s that were on the truck when I bought it. A lot of other Rover owners take a long look at the the wheels and wonder what they are.
