Exclamation Front and rear diffs spin, I don't move?

When I put the truck in forward, or reverse, it won't move anywhere. Both drive shafts spin, and I can hear them whirring under it. If the shafts are spinning, Then the tranny is ok? If I have four wheel drive, why can't I limp along with just the front, or rear wheels. Is it possible I blew both front and rear diffs at the same time? Or broke both axles? How can I diagnose what is wrong? Or does someone know what is up? It is a 2003 Discovery II SE7. In '03 they removed the locking center hub, and put in TCS instead (if that helps any). Thanks guys.

Some background on the problem? Was it driving fine yesterday, and this happened overnight? Did something happen while driving? Have you actually seen both drive shafts spinning, or are you assuming that from the noise? We need more details on what happened and what is happening to offer help.

This may be obvious, but is the transfer case in neutral?

Been driving fine. It has been making some rattling in the rear diff when it was not accelerating or decelerating (like right after you let off the gas, and the gear is slacked) Was gonna pull the cover off, and change fluid, and clean it out this week when I had time/money. My dad got under, and saw both diffs spinning when I put it into gear. It made a hard clunk, and the traction control abs, and e-brake light came on. I parked and turned it off. The lights reset. I tried to drive it home, and after about a hundred feet it clunked and jerked again, and it was only whirring when I tried to accelerate up the hill. Towed it to my house, and I can't move anywhere. It sounded like it came from the tranny, but my diffs are spinning. I also don't have a parking brake anymore, It just rolls when I put it into park. What should I do now? Thanks.

Tried shifting into low gear instead of high to see if I could move then, and it wouldn't move then either. And the transfer case is fully engaged in high ATM. Couldn't get it to move anywhere in either gear.

Sounds like both of your diffs are blown.
There is no inspection cover on the diffs.
Remove the drain plugs and see how little gear lube comes out, I'm guess not much.

Alright. Thanks. I'll try checking that. My friend said it was something in the computer, since it looked like I blew them both at the same time. Is that possible? Just went out and put it in drive, and reverse, and it shifted into both, and moved forwards, and backwards in my driveway. didn't want to drive it, and cause more problems, so I moved it a bit, and it was working. Is the TCS malfunctioning?

It is not a computer problem.
The traction control is not the problem, that works off the ABS.
Yes it is possible to blow both diffs at the same time, when was the last time you changed or checked the fluid level in them?

Two weeks ago. I found the front nicely honey colored, and the back black. Grossly black. I just got it about 6K miles ago. It has 140K on it, so I assumed the front diff had been replaced. Not sure how well it was maintained. But the right amount of fluid in it nontheless.
