Default Front and rear emblem replacement?

Hey guys,

Have a quick question; just how on earth do we replace the emblems on our Disco's? I know they are adhesive backed, but any suggestions on an easier way?

My badges look horrible (dry and faded, someone before me must have cleaned them with hydrochloric acid LOL) and I am replacing them.

If you buy new ones, they come all spaced out perfectly. You just clean the surface down, remove the backing, carefully put down the new ones and then remove the adhesive strip on the top to of the letters and you're done. It's really easy.

I know how to put them on, but taking off the originals. LOL....I am thinking I may have to drill out a hole on the existing old emblems and pry from the inside out.

* I am talking just about front grill and rear license plate overhang emblems

The rear emblem on the tail gate handle will pop out. If you have a pick set or something with a 90 degree angled or old screw driver. It comes out from behind the tail gate handle. Once you push it out one end of the emblem you will see it has little black clips. The new one will push straight in.

Oh, I don't think you have to drill anything. Just pry them off. I thought you were talking about the ones that say land rover on the front of the hood that most people ask about. (and then subsequently don't want to pay for)

I'm not sure on the disco II's but on the disco I's you just put your fingers in like you are going to open the tailgate and instead turn them around and pop the emblem out.
