Default Fuel filter replacement

Good Afternoon,
I have just recently replaced the fuel filter on on my Discovery 2 due to the fuel filter icon appearing on the dashboard. However the icon is still illuminated. I would be grateful for any feed back as to why this is so.

Yes it is a TD5. The engine starts every time first time . Does it still need bleeding?
