I had a similar probelm with my lawnmower, it was the flux capacitor going badcombined with the flooded muffler bearing.
My dad wouldnt let me fix it so he just bought a new one.
Sorry that I cant help any more than that.

I don't think that a person should be quick to invalidate good advice from another, especially by saying he may have problems troubleshooting a lawnmower, then saying he cant help you. It is immensely logical to spray starting fluid into the intake. Doing so will deduce whether or not you are getting fuel. If the the engine begins to actually start, then you can eliminate the possibility of a fried ECU, and start troubleshooting the fuel system only. You can also do the same thing with an old spray bottle filled with gasoline, and spray it in the throttle body while a buddy cranks the motor. One of the signs of a intelligent person, is one who solves problems by the process of elimination, and limiting your problems down to a specific area. Rather than guessing and blowing money on systems that were fully functional to begin with. I think you owe Spike an apology. It would be the adult thing to do anyways.

I have a 98 Discovery that runs well except that when it gets hot and I turn the car off, it won't start again until it's cool. My mechanic siad there's no fuel pressure when its hot, but isn't sure if the fuel pump itself is bad, or the electrical to the fuel pump. Any comments would be much appreciated.

You need a new one of these. http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/ETC6661.cfm
This is a common problem with DI's.

Hmm, well Iguess I can eliminate the fuel pump then...

So what would cause the efi control sitting under the passenger seat (Nice and dry) to not open the fuel injectors?!?!?!?

Default RE: Fuel Injection system...ECU location

If you have a left hand drive Disco i, with manual transmission 1995 model (as I have), your ECU is located under the right-side foot well kick panel, above the block of relays. It is down low enough that it "could" have gotten wet, but if it did, you probably would notice water inside the vehicle, or at least dampness.
