Default Fuel Pump Relay

Is it true that a D1 V8. 4L. has fuel pump relay at two locations? If its only at one location then were is it? Is it under the hood just above the fusebox or is it under somewhere the steeringwheel on the firewall?

The fuel pump relay is just in front of the washer bottle mounted to the side fender.
Its about 3" acrossed the top and is about 4" tall and about 1" thick.
It has two plugs that go in the bottom of it.

Then I changed the right one. The pump does not start, I need to buy some equipment to check for power at the pump. When I turn the key the pump is silent.[:'(]

The Button next to washer bottle on the firewall.

IT kills the power to the fuel pump in a accident.
They have been known to be set off by small jolts.

Just so you know, you only need a 12 volt test prob to test for voltage at the pump. Have you checked the fuse?
The pump will only run for 4 to 5 seconds and then shut of if the engine does not start.
Not know what year D1 you have, but have you checked the cam sensor, if it is bad it won't send a signal to the ECU to fire up the fuel pump.

Since I don't know how to troubleshot the cam sensor, can I use an other battery and directly connect to the pump just make sure if its working? What would be the symptons if a cam sensor fails? How about the crank sensor ?

The inertia switch is used to shut off the fuel pump in a accident so that it doesnt feed a fire or dump fuel all over the ground.
If the fuel pump is not coming on then either the relay is bad or the pump is bad.
Do you know where the fuel pump is located?
