Default Fuel Pump Replacement

Hi All,
I have a 2004 Land Rover discovery two SE seven that I need to replace the fuel pump on. The RAVE manual says to remove the right third row seat to access the fuel pump access panel compartment. Then it goes into detail about making some kind of complicated tool, removing the seat, but it does not explain how to do it. Or why you need to do it. Could someone please shed some light on that? Space second question : Can a dirty wheel speed sensor cause a fourth gear incorrect ratio P0734 or cause the Traction Control Light to come on?
Thanks in advance.

You need to lift the rear carpet to get to the access panel for the fuel pump so if you're able to lift the rear carpet without removing the seats, then you can skip it. I had to remove my storage boxes in order to lift the carpet into a position where I could easily get to the cover and do work inside there.

And then discreetly cut a nice round circle out of the carpet right over the access panel so it’s easy next time.

I just cut a line between the two plastic trim pieces where the third row seat clip into the floor. The you can make two perpendicular cuts that are covered by those trim pieces. I used a bit of super glue to glue the edges of the backing together, leaving the pile intact. You can barely tell I was in there.
