Default Fuel purge valve?

I may need to replace mine. Atlantic British says the original equipment part hasn’t been available for some time but they have an aftermarket part for around $90. A quick search found some for as low as $30 and then others in between. Some are used and some are new. I also found a video done by a shade tree mechanic replacing the FPV on a P38 RR and he said it was the same one used on the Hyundai Sonata. Is that a reasonable option or is it false? Thanks.

Hyundai Santa Fe if I’m not mistaken. I think the last one I bought was 10.00 on Ebay.

The Dorman 911-800 also works and is available at most local auto parts stores.

I have tried one form Autozone in the past (Dorman version perhaps?) and it did not work for me. There has been some old posts about it.

I have had success with the Hyundai version. And definitely the factory Bosch version, but they cost 2X to 3X as much.

I too have had success with the hyundai one. I just went to the local hyundai parts department at the dealership ans bought it there for like $30.

The video of the guy doing the replacement with the P38 is just on youtube. Same deal on the DII, except the space is a little tighter. Easy repair. Just pay close attention to not shoot the little retaining clip off and lose it.

I’ve used the Hyundai one with success, but have since switched back to original Bosch unit. When these start to fail they cause all sorts of problems, allowing unmetered air into the intake manifold causing a lean condition, and throwing the various lean condition codes which can be associated with o2 sensors and MAF, and affecting fuel economy. My hyundai one was the source of a long search for my lean condition codes, replaced MAF, o2 sensors before finally replacing with original Bosch unit to resolve the problem

I've yet to have a Genuine Hyundai Unit fail on me.
