Ohh my god Mike that is what I wanted to hear. Thank you soooooooo much.

So I put new plugs in a had the codes read this morning and only these three came up this time and I was about to buy 2 o2 sensors for the 2 on bank 2.

P0174 = System Too Lean
P0150 = o2 sensor circuit malfunction (bank2 sensor1)
P0159 = o2 sensor CKT slow response (bank2 sensor2)


So I am going to replace both o2 sensors tomorrow and hopefully this takes care of the issues.



Here my next questions:

Should I then also clean the injection system, throttle body?

I saw a post for this on the D1 is it the same for my d2? Mike what would you recommend I use for this?

If you are talking about a gas additive, B&G's 44K is by far the best, other wise Seafoam.
If you are talking about cleaning the induction system Seafoam and carb spray.

 

OK so just take the intake off and spray the 44k past the butterfly valve (use whole can) and put the seafoam in the gas tank? And do these both right after I have installed the new o2 sensors?

I just want to make sure this is what is meant.

sensors will not be here until tomorrow so I got the carb cleaner and the seafoam. and I bought another full set of 4418 +4 plugs.

Do you think I should wait til tomorrow do do it all at the same time or should I do the seafoam and carb cleaner now?

I would do the throttle body cleaning and induction cleaning now, then new plugs and O2's when they all come in.

Alright...

So last night I did the induction cleaning and the t-body just like Mike outlines in his post. Smoked the whole street out, everyone on my block got a kick out of it and when I got back home after 20 miles of driving it out, there was a "party" going on in my driveway. They all wanted to talk to me and figure out what I was doing to that $50k+ Range Rover, even though I have already told them its a $8k Discovery - I always get that or the "Toyota makes that right?".

Then this morning I put the new o2 sensors on and a full set of 4418 +4 plugs (again).

She runs beautifully, like the day she was new. Its amazing how much better it idles and feels like it has way more power.

Its idle is right at 600, is this right or should it be a little higher?

Your idle speed is fine, and remember that the tach on the dash is not accurate, its close, but I would not bet your life on it.

 

So everything was running great for about 2 weeks now and yesterday it comes back. Do you think I bought bad o2 sensors?

The idle is low again and at low rpm's it rides ruff.

Here are the codes that came up yesterday:

P0150 - o2 sensor circuit malfunction (bank2 sensor1)
P0174 - system too lean (bank2)
P1174 - manufacturer control fuel/air metering
P0159 - o2 sensor CKT slow response (bank2 sensor2)

I still have the receipts from the o2 sensors. Do you think I should try to go to the auto parts store and make them replace them?
