Fuel temp sensor spec's?
Is there a way to test the fuel temp sensor? I can find specifications for the coolant and air temp but not the fuel temp sensor. I'm having ambient temperature (above 65-70deg) hot re-start issues on the D1. Presenting itself as a misfire in both banks at re-start, get the revs up and smooths right out at 65-70deg. It was 80deg this weekend and it would fire but shut right off. After a few tries I kept her running at about 2K until she smoothed out. Below 65 deg there seem to be no issues. No codes if you get the revs up quick, otherwise you get misfire codes as expected.

My money's on the crank position sensor
It resolved hot re-start on both my LRs
Having said that, the MAF can cause failure to run above 550rpm (you said it would fire but shut right off.)
I'd like to say my CPS would try to fire sometimes, but it's been a couple of years, I'm not sure.
I bought the CPS at dealer both times $70
Have you cleaned your MAF?
luck,greg

Thanks Greg,
I cleaned the MAF, but haven't ruled it out. There are no codes and it will "take pedal" once it's running and there are no driveability issues. I checked resistance on the crank sensor and it is very similar in resistance hot or cold. I'm still trying to find that value to verify as well. I don't like parts throwing ceremonies, so I'll be spending quality time with it again this weekend. Of course at some point, time spent = parts costs.
