If you pinch the back of those flat head screws with a pair of needle nose pliers, they unscrew real easily. Just remember when u put them back in, to use a larger head flathead screw driver and flare them back out.

Oh and since you are that far in, I would get the injectors cleaned if you can afford it. Worth every penny. I had one of mine that had 3 out of the 4 holes clogged on one injector.

You need to replace the oil seperator in the passenger side valve cover while it is off. Also, disconnect the injectors and remove them. There should be some YouTube videos for testing the spray pattern. Really, you are removing the injectors and replacing the 2 O-rings on each unit. From all appearances, your injector Orings are definitely shot and that causes a lot of problems with engine health and performance.

Same reason , budget and no codes
3. What about a air filter?
Due with next oil change.

If you can do that, cover the ends with ziplock bags and duck tape and pour mineral solvent in them (I'm talking about the intakes removed from the truck) and that will get that carbon build up out of em. You can disassemble your throttle body real easily if need be or you can take just the butterfly out and clean it real well and then inside of it. Makes it a ton easier

I was thinking about the removing the injectors and having them serviced.
What is your opinion on the BD injector cleaners? ( I'm referring to the one that it's used when removing the fuel lines and running them in a mix with gas)
Lucky, didn't you have someone in the northeast doing them for you not long time ago?
