So just curious, if you are replacing the frame how would the condition of the existing be of any concern? Now I'm assuming you'll have to replace all shock mounts and maybe some mounts on the axle depending on how bad the rust was but that's minimal compared to the undertaking of swapping a frame.

 

I am new at this rust issue . It kills me put my 03 down .the frame is a half frame ,I am unable to find anybody locally that doesn't want a small fortune to do the job .I did see on the internet about a guy or company that made steel plates that attach to the frame either by bolting or welding to support the rusted area .Still looking .

 

Paying someone will cost a fortune regardless as that's a huge amount of work. The new frame itself it the cheap part. Any pics of how far back it goes? If it's the rear 1/3 I know many folks on here have done that and it's not near as involved. The front half is going to be a mess no matter how you do it.
