Talking Gas Pedal went to floor !!!

There I was coming back from West Texas with trailer in tow.

Then with out warning the gas pedal goes to the floor.

First thing I thing is thats just great my preformance motor in the trailer that took two months to get done now I'm at the side of the road with a 100 miles to go with a broken throttle cable.

I got to the side of the interstate and poped the hood.

The little nut that holds the cable to the throttle was gone.
I always have tools 3 mins later I was back on the road.

Thank you for zip ties.

I had though that worst comes to worst I was going to use a shoe string
to get it up to speed then use the cruise control to make it back.

Now to add 40lbs of odd nuts and bolts to my take along stuff.

I swear you can do anything with zip ties, simple hand tools, and the ultimate tool for everyone and everything-Duct tape

Do you just LOVE Land Rovers?
They truly are designed to be fixed in the field.

My gas pedal goes to the floor daily! (Lead foot LOL).

When we were very poor teens in old junky cars one of my friends tied a knot in what was left of the throttle cable and just ran it out of the hood by the windshield pillar and into the cabin via the drivers window, yanked on it to accelerate.

When I drove truck I had the throttle cable on my truck fray inside the casing so the throttle was stuck wide open at 2500rpm all day long, couldnt shut the truck off at any of my stops or else I would have fried the turbo.
Had to slip the clutch all day long while driving in town.
