So all governments have you coming and going dont they? Canada and the UK have nation wide health care but tax the hell out of you, we dont have it and pay fewer taxes but pay out the nose for health care. You just cant win.

You guys are lucky! I just paid $4.09 for super a couple of days ago and the prices are still climbing. Upstate New York. An hour north of Albany.

To be honest, If the disco wasn't fully paid for and in perfect running condition cause everything's been done on it, I would most likely get rid of it. But I have to at least enjoy some of the peace of mind that the $6 grands spent in the last year are giving me.

I don't drive a whole lot, and my gas expenses is still lower than a monthly payment alone on a new fuel effiecient car. And even this new car would need gas!!!

And an economy genie was saying that within the end of the year, gas will be back down to what it was in january. So I'll cross my fingers and hope he's right.

Our's is paid for too, so is the Camry. We have had to let repairs on the cars slide so that we can buy gas. Both of our families are 2-3 hours away, we havent see them since Christams.
I hope that you are right and gas does come down after the election, it would be nice if it came down now though.
Tourism is really going to suffer this year.

last fill-up: ONE MILLION DOLLARS! [sm=badbadbad.gif]

Just being stupid, but seriously it's pretty annoying that I now basically have to fill-up twice. The pumps only authorize for $100 so I have to almost fill-up, put the nozzle back swipe the card again and then top up. I don't know why but for me that's when it really hit home just how ridiculous the "recent" price surge has become.

The credit card companies set the pump limit so that if your card is stolen and you dispute it they dont have to eat as much.

When it happened the first time I called AmEx. They told me they did not have a pay at the pump cap and it was the decision of each individual station as to the authorization limit, which did turn out to be true it just sucks the closest/most convenient stops the pump at $100. Don't know if their policy is true of all card issuers but I know they weren't jiving me because at one station it just keeps going...and going...and going.
