Well, after 4 months of getting the PO734 code every couple of weeks I finally got a PO171 and PO174 code today (running lean - bank 1 and 2). It looks like it's time to suck it up and buy a new MAF. Does anybody know who has the best prices these days?

Yup, call Tony at Cerrone's, 650.365.4145. I had the same thing happen last month (too lean codes and Gear 4 ratio). With CA tax and shipping it was $160 for a brand new Bosch MAF.

Those codes look like MAF codes along with some misfire codes (P03__). It looks like you need new spark plug wires(get some good ones like Magnacor),spark plugsand probably a newMAF. As it turns out, my MAF was okay. I had a vacuum leak at my intake plenum, so you might want to check forvacuum leaks. There is a plasticfitting connected to a hose on the passenger side that had worked it's way loose.I put some thread tape on it, tightened it up and I've had no codes for over a week now. For you, I think the P0101 is specific to the MAF. I never got that one.

I got the gear 4 incorrect ratio not too long ago ( last march), and since I had to replace the maf, I decided that I had nothing to loose in trying to fix it. I removed it, and used unchlorinated brake cleaner that I would spray onto a Qtip and gently clean the sensors. Thengenerously sprayed the whole unit andimmediately blow drid itwith my air compressor. By the way, by the color of the Qtips...the sensors were pretty dirty.Worked like a charm and haven't had any problems or codes showing up on my obd2 reader ever since and its going on 3 months.

I bought the MAF insert from ebay and it seems to be driving better now. I'll re-scan it when wifie brings it home tonight. It costs me 80 dollars shipped.
