Default Gear Shifter **** Parts for auto Trans

Does anyone know if you can buy the small clip on top of the shifter that allows the rod to go up & down when you depress the side button? Its function is that of a regular "C" clip but is rectangular and has just a hole and slot instead of the open C like a C clip. Mine is giving me all kinds of trouble, not staying on shaft, moving enough so shifter doesn't fully engage in Park so I can't take the ignition key out or just falling off altogether. Any help or p/n info would be appreciated. I looked on my Rave cd and I can't seem to find any spefic info or parts list for the shifter assy.
Thanks

Do you have a picture of the part and where it goes?

I just snapped this one in the dark so it's a little blurry but you can make out the clip that I am talking about.
Thanks for the help

I may be wrong..but you may have to find an entire shifter assembly. I'm actually looking for the plastic piece that surrounds the shifter and slides..maybe we should buy a used assembly together and split the costs

I dont know where to get one. You might have to call AB or Rovers North and ask them.
If you send them a e-mail with your pic they can probally hook you right up.

Duplin,
I also need those plastic parts around the shaft and slider assy lol. I can live without them though so let me see if I can find my clip somewhere first. I program the computer controlled machines in a machine shop so if worse comes to worse I could machine something to solve my problem but it would be easier (and cheaper) to just buy the clip if available. But i'll let you know.

Call them first to make sure....

Bob, call www.roverparts.com or hit up the dealer. I got a new clip after I bent mine. It was $5, but well worth it to not have to search.
