Getting My D2 Painted

You can wet sand the clear coat back to the paint and just respray it with clear coat. I don't know how great it would look, but it would look better than before. If you are willing to do that, I'd try the roof first. No one can see if you made a mistake up there.

That would work on solid color base coats. Not metallics though.

With that said, does anyone know if Java Black is metallic? I might want to respray the clear coat on the hood once it looks bad.

If it has clear coat, its metallic paint in my experience.

I think that you are right. Upon closer inspection, my paint has sparkles in it. So I guess it is metallic. I ended up plasti dipping the hood as well. I will post pictures later today.

I think that a little PLASTI-DIP would go a long way on my paint job. What do you think? some plasti-dip and she will be good as new haha!
