Default Getting ready to pull the trigger

My brothers newly acquired 98 D1 is ready for a 2" lift. He knows he wants a medium spring setup, open to either RTE or OME. I would like to know what some of you have setup and are you happy with the overall ride. He may add a bumper and winch on the front in the future but for now would like to replace springs, shocks, steering stabilizer and start doing some light offroading. Thanks for reading.

i have the RTE heavy duty springs with OME shocks and couldnt be happier... if he plans on putting the added weight of aftermarket bumpers and stuff then he should definately go with the heavy duty springs to handle the added weight...

With a winch and bumper in the future, the HD 751 front coils will be needed along with the 762 rears, HD OME shocks and stabilizer.
Don't sonsider the medium duty with that extra weight while going off road.

Seems Heavy duty springs wins so far, but will the ride quality be bad in the mean time until the bumper and winch are installed?

I have HD OME springs and I love the ride. Feels like a truck.

I am 62 plus years old, and my old body likes the ride.
