I have a good friend that works at ICON Vehicle Dynamics at is making me custom shocks for my 2001 discovery. The question, do I need new coils? Some say yes and some say no.

 

not if you are a fan of the sagging worn out ones. that's guessing that they are original. imo, new shocks are great to replace old worn shocks, either way. with worn springs they may not last as long, but still an improvement. both would be ideal
