He is asking if he can put vinyl over the top of the Black Reflective tape to get the same affect as you got with your printed piece!

And yes you can do that and it will last longer then your printed stuff will.
Just look at all the wraps done on cars, vans, buses they have to have it re done every year or two max because Inks fade and crack fast in the sun even with a UV coat because most UV coats are just in the Ink or a ink itself.
also it scratches vary easily showing the under color.

Get off your hi horse and smell reality
Wow, I guess you're just too stupid to understand no matter how many times it's repeated and dumbed down. I couldn't give a sh*t less about inks since what is applied to my vehicle is clearly a standard reflective piece of vinyl.

Default Wow...

I didn't intend to create such a stir. Looks like there is more than one way to do this. I prefer the simplest, cleanest way. I'd prefer not to have multiple layers of decal, so I may go Wolf's route. Just the same, I appreciate everyone's advice!

Ok you made me go to the office and waist vinyl and time on something you are clueless on!

Hey look what I designed.
1st I designed it.
2nd I cut the Black Reflective
3rd then I cut the letters and weeded it
4th then I overlaid the solid Black letters on the Reflective vinyl
5th I Installed it on my office door where it will remain to show people what cant be done because I dont know what I am doing?

Yeah, real intelligent. First, lets have him purchase black reflective tape, then lets have him also purchase another layer of vinyl from the shop he goes to, then lets have him pay to have it cut, layered, an installed.

Or lets not be a complete idiot and take the reflective vinyl he has already purchased, cut it in the design he likes, and install.

Way to do things like a moron, moron.

Once again, the part that isn't reflecting, is doing so because there is no vinyl there. The only vinyl that is applied back there is what is currently reflecting white. Layering a non-reflective color over the areas in-between is completely unnecessary.

No the spot that is not reflecting on your's is because it's being covered up by Ink or a solvent base ink. And most likely if the piece you got from your sign person was rolled up after they printed it, you now have small cracks forming in it already from being stretched.

What do you think the sign shop did? Special magic and removed the reflective pigment out of it?

Wow, you are an utter ****ing dumb ***. The spot that is not reflecting on mine is the vehicles PAINT. You f*cking douche. There is no vinyl in those areas, AT ALL.

Don't tell my how the f*ck my stripe application is done when you clearly haven't the slightest idea.
