If your axle tube is indeed bent, a whole assembly would be cheaper than removing it,straightning it, then replacing it. It should come with the track rod, with tie rods, leaving the gearbox(steering box?) left to buy.

The guys at the shop said it looked like somebody had run over something big. I've only had it a week and a half. I know it sounds like it should be obvious. But it drives fine up to 55mph (and when I drove it before I traded for it, I could only get up to 55 on the local road). So it drove ok. The way the tires sat, it looked like the ball joints needed to be replaced. Its been up on a rack two other times (once for an oil change and once to put new tires on prior to the alignment that never happened) and nobody ever noticed - I always ask if the techs see anything suspect. Its just one of those things and now I've got to find a way to make the best of it.

I would at least get a second opinion from a mechanic you trust..like others have said..be patient..there are lots of DII's being parted out..you can find a whole axle cheap if you do indeed need one.

Yes, there prices are great.. Since I have been unemployed I have been going there buying parts, alternators, starters, compressors fuel pumps maf sensors.. And selling them on ebay..

Best was when I tried to tell the girl it was a maf mass air flow sensor twice and she charged me for a map sensor. 6.00.. Sold on ebay for good profit.

Anyways, seriously dude I'm not busy, ill go there and get the damn part and bring it to you if it would be cost effective for you.

I also found this,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-95...Q5fAccessories

seems like there is a fair amount of them on ebay, and it looks like you could do it for around 400 bucks. Hope this helps.
