Went to the Hancock Fabric site and had a look around. How many yards of material is needed to do the job?

I think I'm gonna go with the giraffe pattern.

Thanks,
Scott

3 yards will do the job, the first link i posted has some more detailed instructions on how to do it.

I did it by myself, i slowly worked the entire head board in and supported it in the middle with my head while attaching the middle hand grips to hold the middle up, the front was held up by the rear view mirror and the rear by a latch right above the rear door... if you have someone to help it makes life much easier.

Got any pics of your painted headboard??

Man that thing is OVER THE TOP! I love it! I mean good on you for doing something that really noone else does... My wife said if I ever get a second Disco I have to do this, as she loves animal prints.

JHill15, that headliner looks fantastic! Any issues getting it out? I don't see any tell tale creases anywhere that would indicate it bent.

Finally got it back in, it took a little longer cause I had to put it back in by myself. The hardest part was getting that first ol s%#* handle started. I ended up breaking the thing that raises and lowers the seat belt on the b piller...idk what that things called lol. It will only move up and won't go back down. I will have toget a new one. I didn't have any issues on getting back in, it went really smooth, I was very surprised how easy this was to do. I managed to not get any creases in it either, I just took all the headrests off the seats and laid them back and it came out and went back in real easy. Name: 20130414_171019_zps8c98eee5.jpg
