Default good old wabco ABS Modulator

Hi - my TD5 disco2 2002 (180K km) has recently showed a shuttle valve failure. This issue has already started few months ago when TC HD and ABS lights came on together and sporadically. And now, these lights are on all the time. I did the diagnostics and found out the 'usual' code 2-6 was recorded - suggesting that the modulator is playing up. I bled the Modulator system and it didn’t help. A slight and constant noise from the Modulator is occurring even if the car has been sitting for a week without starting it - you got to put your hear right next to hear it though… but it’s there.

I took the initiative and removed the modulator. I’ve connected and tested pins 6 and 9 on the back of the modulator using an ohmmeter Ω at 20k and got a consistence reading of 3.02 on the meter.

Given the fact that I have that solid reading on the ohmmeter btw pins 6 and 9 - my question is whether I should continue with opening the Modulator to try and fix the shuttle valve connection to the circuit board of the modulator or am I up for a different problem here?

I would love to hear from you

Sam

Go ahead and resolder the circuit board, what do you have to loose besides time?
