Is this tick and internal or external tick, what oil are you using, when do you hear it, how often do you change the oil? Have you checked to see if your engine is on Rovers hit list for a possible oil pump/engine failure?
Check with Rover first, then consider doing a crank case flush to clean out the engine and possibly improve the flow, if that doesn't work, you need to take it to a shop, leave it over night and have them check the oil pressure when cold at idle and 2000 RPM's and then hot at idle and 2000 RPM's. Get back to us with the 4 sets of oil pressure.

Phil, I have yet to find any import shop that is really reputable in KC. In fact, the limited experience I have had is pretty poor here. You could take it to Aristocrat Motors... at least they have an LR department, but I understand that they are VERY proud of their work. If you don't care about specific LR experience, I know several people that have used Wornall Automotive: Automotive Repair Services, Kansas City, Plaza, computerized alignments, preventive maintenance, oil changes, brakes, engine repair, exhaust, transmission, 24 hour towing Maybe you can give them a shot. Other than that, Danny Zeck up in Leavenworth does decent work, if you don't mind the drive.
