Default got my truck last Saturday!!

its a 96 se7 manual transmission. black on tan

this is my first v8+ my first land rover and it didn’t come with an owners manual . the exterior looks like a brand new car!! and mechanically it drives great! i mean 0 issues, 200+ miles just to get it home. but the interior ... not so much. it looks like someone has been messing with the interior electronics hardcore. i have the red (break) light on, and the (ANTI LOCK) light on., and of course the crummy headliner, and the foggy rear upper left window. The carpet in the front passengers floor has been removed and a lot of wires just hanging out in there under the glove box, there is something unplugged in there. along with that the whole center consul is loose and has screws missing, rear windows don’t work, and behind that center consul in that back seat it looks like another panel is missing exposing more wires and yet another unplugged thing. oyeah the radio is locked and my right front fog light is out

i don’t get it how can the exterior look soooo good and it drive so well, and NOT LEAK ANYTHING!!!! at ALL. no over heating, starts right up, feels good on power. BUT the inside looks like its been stolen and gone through everything, the key starter thing was replaced??? like it really looks like some one took it apart and threw it back together again within literally 45seconds.. the carfax report it having electrical system done twice ... by Land Rover dealerships. ...

...owell. the car is awesome and lets face it i didn’t buy a Land Rover for the interior everything else loving it. n besides who the hell wants to buy a car that doesn’t need a bit of TLC?? where’s the fun in that!

after looking more closely Ive come to the conclusion that this car has had an after market/or stock??? stereo system. the undone plug under the glove box SEEMS to be connected to the radio and under the front passengers seat there is another undone plug labeled "amp". Also there is a bracket under the front passenger's seat that is not holding anything.??
i just want to figure what was supposed to be underneath the center console in the back facing the the back seats? is it an ash tray or rear climate buttons or what? if someone could help me figure out what has been stripped out of there id appreciate it. there is an undone plug and a little place to fit something in there...

I do hope you got this lovely Land Rover with warranty. I did when I got mine, and thankful that I did. I found out after owning a Land Rover they like to have a little brake downs. Evey little thing to fix can be price E.
What I am doing at this point so I want get in to any [font=&quot]preambles like my other friends who have payed WAY TOO MUCH on paying the parts on there own. Is looking to getting a ex-warranty..... We need it.
You should look in to getting a Ex-warranty for yours. Trust me it well save you.
The place I am looking in to right now seems to be great http://rangerovers.net/

Yeah you gotta love the dual overhead cam timing belt, I had that on my Montero, what a PIA to replace.
There was a CD changer under the pass seat and a factory amp under the dash.
My guess is the CD changer died and they took out the amp to install a aftermarket unit, happens all the time.

Aftermarket warranties are a HUGE rip off, and besides that, there is no way you will ever get one for a car that old, even if it only had 5 miles on it.

As long as you take care of your truck they are VERY reliable.
Over 30k and not a single break down with mine, in those 2.5 years I have spent way less than $1000 in unexpected repairs and she has always gotten us home.

its my 2.7twin turbo audi s4, the engine is so cramped in there you have to take off the whole front end just to get to the timing belts+waterpump... sadly i had to sell it but the disco is my new toy
