Default Grease fitting locations and size

I did an oil change on the truck and wanted to grease the drive shaft but the grease gun that I have won't fit the grease fittings. It seems as though the fittings on the drive shaft are smaller then the fitting on the gun. What size or type of fitting do I need? I was also wondering if their are any other grease fittings on the truck that could use some greasing periodically.

I thought grease guns were fitted with a standard tip. Go to Harbor Freight and pick yourself up a new gun. Grease the (3) on the front prop and (1) on the rear shaft.

You can probably pick up a new tip like the one below, if your gun has a removable tip.

Not sure if the chassis or suspension have any fittings. Doubt it.

Coors, I also thought that it was standard but apparently not.

My elcheapo home depot grease gun fits those grease nipples pretty well.

Maybe the only problem is that the tip is messed up. I am going to have to look at it more closely and see what's the deal.

Also grease the slip shaft on each drive shaft or it too can fail.

How do you guys usually rotate the shafts so the zerk are accessible, what's the easiest way for example?

Also, a gun with a flexible line is easier than the ones with a 6" solid. I have the 6" solid and it's always a pita...unfortunately I am cheap, and those are cheap...lol

Transfer case in N and lift the right front wheel. This works well for the front drive shaft. The rear one is normally not a hassle, but if it is then lift a rear wheel.

Forget the jack. Put it in park, hop out, cross your fingers, and hope the fittings are accessible and in the right spot. If not, roll the truck forward or backwards. My grease nipples are all in a line. So, this work well for me.
