Default Grinding south when on a swerve road..

Hmm when im driving strait no problem but when the road is not strait I can hear a grinding noise when slightly turning with the curve but not when sitting still and turning wheel.. my front bearings and ball joints are pretty new .. could it be diff needs new fluid ? Maybe had a leak at a seal so im wondering if this is what would be heard only when Turning? I do t hear it at low speed of feel either just like around 30mph and up or changing lanes on highway

Even though the wheel bearings are fairly new, I would suspect them. Of course check your diff fluid level. As far as diff fluid being old, it would have to be pretty bad to actually cause an issue. Bad wheel bearings will go a long time before actually failing. You’d probably note ABS faults long before the bearings actually fail.

I’m glad you found the issue, but it sucks replacing parts that you’ve already replaced.

I haven’t had to do them on my LR’s yet, but on the Dakota I had previously, I replaced them with the cheaper version and needed to do them again a couple of years later.
