A grisly bear has been spotted about a mile away and heading toward my house.
These brown bears are 8 feet tall when standing up and weight 1500 pounds.
They can also run at 35 mph.

Since this is where I do my wheeling, how fast can a 98 DI do in reverse?

 

Just have some big steaks handy so that you can toss them out the window so he quits chasing you and goes for the easy snack

Yeah, and the man-points reward for that kind of photo is HUGE.

I would say carry a mosberg 500 with 3 1/2 inch mag loads of alternating slugs and buckshot. But that is just me. Also like always beer might help.

 

I was under the impression a shotgun even with those rounds wouldn't do to much to a bear that size (except **** it off), unless of course you shot it at very short range, but then again maybe I am wrong about it working that close, and who is stupid enough to get that close to a grizzly to test that theory?

 

Sharpen a big stick and wait for it to charge. At the last min raise the stick impailing the bear in the chest, ramming the blunt end into the ground. The bear should have one last epic roar before it dies on top of you. Then take its teeth and make a necklace and tell all the women you meet about the time you fought a bear and won.

 

I have instructed the executor or my estate to post the pictures on this forum that would clearly show the bear jumping on the hood, ripping the sunroof off, then the big claw reaching inside for me ----------

Crazy, I know Glenas family. There was a little more to it I believe than just a bear attack. It was sad none the less.
