Group Buy: ABS Amigo for $159!
Hey all,
Well I was sick of staring at those ugly three amigo dash lights and I figured I had to do something about it, the only problem is I’m so tight a squint wrinkles the skin on my knee, so I hit up the maker of the lowest-priced ABS scanner for DII’s out there, the ABS Amigo over at RSW. Storey’s the guy’s name for those that don’t know him and yesterday he actually replied and said he’d do it.
So here’s his deal:
He’s making 20 of his units available for $158.95 + ship, a deal that’ll be available until 9/17 or until he’s sold them all. I think he decided it wasn’t worth the trouble to wait for a bunch of commitments and then offer a discount, so he just committed to selling 20 of ‘em at wholesale. Now’s your chance to get an ABS fault code scanner for close to the cost of a SINGLE $150 dealership scam fee. And no I didn’t misspell that.
Storey set up a landing page with the special discounted price (it’s normally $198.95, so $40 off). Thought I’d share with everybody because even though he isn’t making the special pricing contingent on volume, it’d still be nice to see him sell all 20 units. Here’s the discount link:

He said he’s only done this a couple times, so I’m pretty pleased that he accepted to do it for this forum. So anyway, if you’re sick and tired of those irritating three amigos, skip the lovely chaps at Land Rover and get yourself a lifetime of ABS scans for the same price. I for one can’t wait for it to get here so I can get a clean dash again…
Oh and I think Storey would like to keep this deal restricted to LRF if at all possible.
Enjoy!

FWIW, sales tax is only state imposed, so many Internet-based businesses only charge sales tax to those customers that are in the state where they're headquartered. I can't say this is a hard and fast rule, but I've known many site owners that operated this way.
But yes, as the others said, he's totally legit. Pretty amazing story actually about how developed this tool...he basically had to reverse engineer the Rover EAS system. Crazy.
Can't wait to get mine; I value a little thing called "self sufficiency".
Ditto, my thoughts exactly...I searched on ebay and couldn't find a used one to save my life. Figgered it was time for Rover owners to unite and save some moolah.
Where I can see the benefit of a tool look this, I am a bit confused why someone would prefer this to an actual OBD scanner. Why get a one trick pony when for the same money (or less) you can get one that will check and clear all codes.
