RE: guys, I need some help!!!!
I want to thank the guys that showed an interest in helping me solve this problem. Heres what it was...........
The entire side "all4", on the passengers side of the engine, wasn't firing..
Problem was - I had a bad injector that was burnt open and had constantly sent 8 ohms back into thecomputer module, the 7 others were sending back .5 ohms each. the additional ohms burnt out a resistor in the module.
Solution was - I replaced the injector and computer module..... runs GREAT
But........... after replacing and starting, the engine was blowing so much steam and burning so much oil, it reminded me of one of those mosquito smog machines that use to go around the neighborhood. I thought I had a blown "head gasket" for sure.
After starting and letting the engine idel for perhaps 20 mins each day, within three days, the cylinders had cleared themselves up.
As I understand, the woman that previously owned the car, ran it on 4 cylinders for mnths, thinking it just had a BAD skip. evidently the moisture build up and oil sneaking by the rings and valves, had accumilated inside the chambers.
Now, as I have two spare computer modules, both having a resistor burnt out, Its my goal to replace thebad resistors and perhaps have two perfectly good modules and be able to sell them.
