Now I know all to well the issues that can go wrong with these truck having sold my 2001 to jump into a 2004 xterra. I love the nissan but...well its just not a rover! What's your opinions on this thing. I know its cheap for an 04 so I'm wondering if it needs head gaskets and so on and so on.
Thanks guys and gals

so go in and offer them 3200 tell them that you have owned these before and know how much work may be needed. IF they do not have the receipt for the heads being done. etc.. you know you are looking at another 2500 to get all the high mileage stuff done. But if you get her for 3200 you have a great running 04 for 5500 depending on how much you do on your own.
So I call they guy and he says it has an small engine tick and the cel is on from an he sensor. What the hell is an he sensor? He didn't have a code number so idk. However no other lights are on such as amigos...unless they pulled the bulbs or black taped over them. Which is a posibility, we've seen it happen before.
Thoughts???
Thoughts???
Worse case scenario:
Engine tick = slipped liner
CEL= coolant in cylinder.
If you're willing to battle the Rover Gods again hop back up on that pogo stick... Just remember with Rovers you know where that pogo stick will end up.

That's my thoughts aswell coors. The guy has no service records, and doesn't know if the h.g. has been done or the drive shaft. I think its to. Good to be true too drowssap. My current Xterra would bring in around $6500 which would leave a nice chunck for repairs...however I'm not sure if my wife would be ok with the time it would take to bring it back to par. I would be willing to battle the rover gods again but the god of women aka my wife have spoken lol its a pass!
Thanks guys
I will be back one day
